Our Trinity Middle School and High School Youth joined forces with a bunch of adult volunteers and found plenty of service to do right here in Tacoma. Each day began at the Bryant Neighborhood Center, where they prepared our hearts, minds, and bodyies for the day. Then they headed out to our service projects supporting community organizations all over Pierce County that do important work. In the afternoons, they participated in awesome adventure activities. And, finally, at each days end, they returned to the BNC to reflect and wrap up their day together.
The “Why” of this work was “Learning to walk in the way of Jesus through serving others and allowing Jesus to transform us through the people we meet and projects we participate in.” The kids - and adults - found joy in both the service and the play, and met great people all over our city!
