FIRST DAY OF LENT
ASH WEDNESDAY DRIVE-THRU IMPOSITION OF ASHES

Wednesday, February 14 | 12–1 p.m. & 4:30–5:30 p.m. | Alleyway behind Trinity

Please take a few moments to come by Trinity to receive the imposition of ashes as well as some special tools that will guide you through Trinity's 2021 lenten season. Enter driveway from Sixth Avenue and exit to Division. Please also wear your mask and follow the directions of the people guiding traffic.

LENT WEEK ONE
WALK IN THE WILDERNESS

Week of February 21 | On Your Own

An opportunity to be in the wilderness and reflect on the transformation that comes from knowing Jesus. Use the Walk in the Wilderness guide found in the lenten packet. If you didn't receive one, click here to download the printable guide or click here to download an audio guide produced by our own Ezra and Jed Brewster.

This walk can be done anywhere, though it is intended for a specific path at Point Defiance Park.

LENT WEEK THREE
OUTDOOR LABYRINTH AT TRINITY

Available After Sunday, March 7 | On Your Own | Trinity’s North Lawn

Come experience a labyrinth and reflect on the both/and of foolishness and wisdom. A labyrinth is a twisted path, taking you from the outside to the center in an illogical way. And yet, it isn’t a maze intended to confuse, but one path that weaves into itself and back out again. If the goal of the journey were only to reach the middle, the lines might seem foolish, but we find that following the foolish road can lead to wisdom, and perhaps a chance to meet God in the grass of the North Lawn.

A guide to the labyrinth can be dowloaded here.

LENT WEEK FOUR
SERVICE OF HEALING

Thursday, March 17 | 6–7:30 p.m. | Trinity Sanctuary

This quiet service of prayer will be by registration only. Masks, social distancing, and self-health checks will be required. Check back the week of March 7 to sign up.

LENT WEEK FIVE
PLANT FRUIT

If you attend the drive-thru Imposition of Ashes on Ash Wednesday, you will receive a packet of seeds. Consider planting them this week as we reflect on Buried//Fruit.

LENT WEEK SIX | HOLY WEEK

STATIONS OF THE CROSS

Come by Trinity for a special outdoor Stations of the Cross, featuring the artwork of Scott Erickson. The Stations of the Cross began as a practice of pilgrims going to Jerusalem who would retrace the final journey of Jesus to the hill where he was crucified. For the many who wanted to pass along the same route, but couldn’t make the trip to Jerusalem, a practice developed that eventually took the form of the Stations of the Cross that you can find in many churches today.

MAUNDY THURSDAY SERVICE
