Tacoma Climate Action with Tacoma Ministerial Alliance Workshop

How should the City of Tacoma respond to the current climate emergency and promote anti-racist change in Tacoma? We want to hear from you! Tacoma is at a turning point to address the wrongs of our system and make it work for generations into the future. Join Tacoma Ministerial Alliance, Citizens for a Healthy Bay and the City of Tacoma on Monday June 21st from 6-7:30pm via Zoom to share your thoughts and help shape the City’s Climate Action Plan. All participants are eligible for a $20 cash card to make it easier to participate and honor your contributions.

The Climate Action Plan being developed will guide City actions and investments for shared climate solutions, environmental protections, and community resilience. We need your help to prioritize actions that are community-driven, equitable, and anti-racist to help us build a just and sustainable Tacoma. The updated plan that results from this process, intended for adoption by Tacoma City Council in late 2021, will benefit your community for the next 5-10 years.

We need input from diverse community voices to develop a transformational plan, and to help build a safe and sustainable future. Join the chorus of voices and pre-register now to get the Zoom link.

Creation Care Sunday on April 11

Creation Care Sunday - 1200x612.png

We are so excited to share resources, events, articles and commentaries concerning critical issues related to climate change, renewable energy, and creation care.

We hope you’ll join us on April 11 at 10 a.m. for our annual Creation Care Sunday. Check the eNews (or sign up here) to receive a link to join us on Zoom!

One of the key elements in reducing carbon emissions and mitigating the impacts of climate change is restoring the land and the soil upon which we stand and cultivate. The theme for our Creation Care Sunday this year will be Sacred Ground: Cultivating Connections Between our Faith, our Food, and the Climate. The scripture will be Genesis 1:26–31.
